Claudia Irene Calderón

Claudia I. Calderón is a Faculty Associate in the Department of Horticulture. Her research is focused on the intersection of agroecology, sustainability, climatic resilience and food security. She works using participatory approaches that empower women in rural areas of Central America. She also supports inclusive-agriculture growth that is respectful with the environment, where food production and exchange occur for reasons beyond capital accumulation.
