Andrea Buhler-Wassmann

Andrea C. Bühler-Wassmann, 4W Director for Cariño and Care, is an Assistant Professor of Human Development and Family Studies and Shannon Faculty Fellow in the School of Human Ecology. Her research focuses on (1) understanding how immigrant Latine caregivers nurture their children’s early development and learning through everyday practices and (2) the individual, relational, and systemic factors that foster healthy socioemotional and psychobiological development. She collaborates with families and community organizations to identify culturally relevant ways to support caregivers and their children and create environments that promote early relational health and family well-being.
