
Prerna Rana is a PhD student in the Civil Society and Community Studies department at the School of Human Ecology. Prerna received her Master’s in rural management from India which prepared her to work with grassroots women’s institutions in the country’s rural regions. She has worked with women groups in areas of financial inclusion, sustainable agriculture, and community development. Her research interests focus on the intersections of community development, gender empowerment, and civic engagement while adopting a participatory approach to research that emphasizes collaboration with community members to create systemic change.
